This evaluation has been developed for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten-age students whose parents require norm-referenced information about their student’s specific learning strengths and weaknesses.
Early Childhood Cognitive Evaluations
This comprehensive assessment provides families with diagnostic data to help make decisions regarding educational services and potential school placement.
Included in the Early Childhood Psycho-Educational Evaluation:
Intellectual ability
Reading and pre-reading skills, including phonological processing
Math skills/concepts
Language/vocabulary screening
Developmental writing skills, including visual motor skills
Kindergarten readiness
Each Early Childhood evaluation includes:
Extensive written report with interpretation and summary of each assessment
Diagnosis of the condition based on the clinical findings, if applicable
Individualized recommendations designed to address the student’s needs
The diagnostician will also meet with the parents to review the results of the evaluation, discussing the diagnosis and resulting instructional and/or evaluation recommendations for home, school, and outside professionals.
